Helping to change the way artillery is deployed, W.D. Williams rewrote the artillery manual in two languages.
My grandfather was a full colonel in the U.S. Army Artillery. He was responsible for the change in how artillery was deployed in WWII. He rewrote all the artillery manuals in French and English. He was knighted by King George of England and by the French government.
